Disable students from being able to open a new tab

(Idea from Michael Young) By disabling students ability to open a new tab or browser during an assessment it would make it more difficult for a student to cheat by opening a new tab/browser and attempting to Google Translate the answer.

This is most applicable for text questions as students can quickly copy/paste the text into Google Translate on a new tab.

    I couldn't agree more!

In lieu of "Preventing Cheating" I just put together a help article that explains all of the different features that help prevent cheating on Extempore.

Awesome. This would definitely help mitigate this growing problem. Thanks

In the works as of 2/18/21!

While we cannot disable students from leaving the tab completely students will now see a popup warning when they come back to Extempore. In Grading, teachers will be able to see how many times a student navigated off of the page.
